WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks open their 2018 season at home against Bellarmine. They will then enter conference play on Monday evening against Mercyhurst. IUP begins the year against Bellarmine on Saturday at 1 p.m. and will square off against the Lakers on Monday at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at Miller Stadium.
 
STORYLINES/WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*IUP is coming off a (5-12, 2-8 PSAC) season, finishing 10^th in the conference in the 2017 season. IUP ended the 2017 season on a six-game losing streak. Mercyhurst finished ninth in the PSAC last season.  
*The Crimson Hawks were picked to finish eighth in the conference in the PSAC preseason coaches' poll;
Mercyhurst was picked to finish 10^th
*IUP fell short against Bellarmine 2-3 early last season in the final seconds of the game. Seniors Selena Gonzales West (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) and Matti Reightler (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) both scored one goal in this match.  
*IUP went 0-2 against Mercyhurst last season including an overtime loss at home.
