CLEVELAND - IUP swimmers wrapped up a successful weekend at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup with three NCAA B standard and 32 conference qualifying times on Saturday.
Paige Mikesell tallied two NCAA B standards on Saturday, running her weekend total to four, in the 100 freestyle and 200 butterfly. Her times were 51.65 and 2:01.95, respectively.
The third NCAA time came from Paige's sister
Claire Mikesell, as she posted a time of 2:18.16 in the 200 breast. It was her second NCAA time of the weekend, also posting a B standard in the 100 breast on Friday.
The three-day invitational ended with IUP swimmers putting up seven NCAA B standard and 69 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times.
Team standings
The women's team finished sixth of 11 teams with 375.50 points. They were the top performing non-Division I team over the weekend, with the top-5 teams including Akron (1769.50 points), Ohio, Duquesne, Xavier, and Bowling Green.
On the men's side, the Hawks finished fifth of seven teams with 453 points. IUP finished behind host Cleveland State (1859), Xavier, Case Western Reserve, and Gannon.
