NOTES
>> This will be the first weekend of competitive swimming for Wheeling. The Cardinals will compete in a quad meet at Alderson Broaddus Friday and will send swimmers to Indiana for Saturday's action.
>> Junior
Paige Mikesell became the first IUP swimmer to record an NCAA B standard time this season, posting a mark of 1:52.72 in the 200 butterfly last Saturday. That time was also good enough to win the event.
>> That win was one of three total for Mikesell on the day. She also participated in the winning 200 medlay and 200 free relays.
>> Men's newcomer
Adam Morrison was the only IUP swimmer to win two individual events - the 100 freestyle (49.09) and 200 freestyle (1:46.66). He had a third win, participating in the 200 medley relay.
>> Morrison, freshman
Luke Mikesell and junior
Ryan Hartmann each had three combined wins on the men's side. Individually, Mikesell won the 500 free and Hartmann the 100 fly, while both also swam in the two relay wins.
>> Earlier this week it was announced that due to health and safety protocols, the dual meet at Alfred State (N.Y.) later this month has been cancelled.
