IUP Women's Lacrosse hosts Gannon Saturday

INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's lacrosse team heads into its final home game of the regular season this Saturday when the Crimson Hawks host Gannon at Miller Stadium. Game time is 4 p.m. 

IUP enters the weekend with a 3-4 overall record and in third place in the PSAC West with a 3-3 division record. Gannon is 0-6 and 0-5. 

Spectators
IUP Athletics is allowing spectators at outdoor events this spring. Any fans visiting George P. Miller Stadium are asked to keep socially distant from each other, participating teams, student-athletes, school officials and other game day personnel. When not able to socially distant, please wear masks.

Last time out
The Crimson Hawks weren't able to overcome a fast start by No. 23 Seton Hill in an 18-9 loss in Greensburg Saturday. It was their second straight loss. Junior Leah Hunter scored three goals and assisted on another while freshman Sarah Reuslte scored two goals, added an assist, and three ground balls and three draw controls.

Notes
>> This will be the first meeting between these two teams this season. The original season series opening game was scheduled for March 23 in Erie, but it was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Gannon program, and was moved to April 22. 
>> Gannon has had multiple games postponed or canceled due to health and safety guidelines and is scheduled to play six games over the next 12 days, including Wednesday against D'Youville. 
>> IUP has an 8-game win streak in the series with Gannon, boasting a +9.75 goal differential in those contests.
>> Gannon is last in the PSAC in goal differential at -12.3, giving up at least 16 goals in each of its outings.
>> The Crimson Hawks are looking to improve their playoff positioning, as they are third in the PSAC West and have a half-game lead over fourth place Lock Haven. The top three teams in each of the PSAC's two divisions earn postseason berths. 
>> IUP's remaining divisional opponents have a combined record of 9-17 and include Gannon (0-6, 0-5) twice, at Lock Haven (2-3, 2-3) and at Mercyhurst (7-2, 5-2). Lock Haven's remaining opponents have a record of 21-17 and come against Gannon, Seton Hill (7-0, 6-0), Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock (4-5, 3-5) and IUP.
>> Sophomore Jordan Kulp is second in the PSAC in assists per game with 2.43 and sixth in points per game at 4.29.
