INDIANA, Pa. - The IUP men's and women's track & field programs were both named All-Academic Teams for 2020-21 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.

To be recognized as an All-Academic Team, the cumulative grade point average for the program must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The women's squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.52 while the men had a 3.12 for the 2020-21 academic year. The IUP programs were among 130 women's and 85 men's Division II teams on the All-Academic list for this year. Truman State led on the women's side with a 3.75 cumulative GPA while Colorado School of Mines had the highest men's GPA at 3.55.

The IUP men's and women's track & field and cross country programs combined for 34 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) scholar-athletes, earning a GPA of 3.25 or higher this year. That total helped the department break a school record of 271 honorees.
