INDIANA, Pa. – IUP women's volleyball will host its Dig Pink Game on Friday, October 28 against Pitt-Johnstown.
The team is raising funds and awareness for the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, which is an organization that represents, supports and serves breast cancer survivors and their families in Pennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and breast cancer research grants.
"With one in eight women in the United States developing invasive breast cancer within their lifetime, almost everyone knows someone who has been impacted by the disease," IUP head coach
Lorelle Hoyer said. "To me, it is important that our program honor those who have battled, educate ourselves on early detection, raise awareness on the impact and support organizations like PBCC in hopes to increase the survival rate."

Dig Pink" as the Grassroots Partner Event Name.
"As a program, we are proud to partner with PBCC this year to provide a deeper impact within our Pennsylvania community," Hoyer continued. "We hope that all VolleyHawk Nation will join us and contribute to this more than worthy cause!"
