MANSFIELD, Pa. – The IUP men's and women's cross country programs competed at Mansfield on Saturday at the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.
Held at Lamb's Creek XC Course, the IUP men's team finished sixth in the team standings, while the women were 14th. Edinboro swept the team titles with the men's and women's programs earning first overall.
Tori James was the top finisher on the women's side in the 6K race, crossing the line in 55th with a time of 24:43.0. For the IUP men,
Dan Gibney earned All-PSAC Second Team honors with his 21st-place finish (26:01.5)
Evan Weaver was the next finisher for the IUP men in the 8K, coming in 37th (26:43.3) as the only upperclassman in the top seven.
Marco Cardone followed in 46th (27:05.5), just in front of teammate
Adam Lechleitner in 47th (27:07.3).
On the women's side,
Katie McCormick was second among the IUP lineup in 67th with a 25:08.7. McCormick was the first of three consecutive first-year runners to cross the line for the Crimson Hawks.
Stella Kuntz followed with a 26:09.7, good for 91st overall, before
Madison Hartner closed out her race in 27:19.8.
Ethan Ribelin closed out the scoring lineup for IUP in 49th with a time of 27:10.4.
Owen Putt (60th) and
Tom Brady (61st) rounded out the IUP top seven.
Mia Elmore rounded out the scoring lineup for IUP with a 109th-place time of 27:43.4 with
Emily Schrag and
Hannah Miller completing the top seven.

IUP competes at the 20222 NCAA Atlantic Regionals, held right back at the Lamb's Creek XC Course in Mansfield on November 19.
