LEXINGTON, Va. - Six Crimson Hawks had qualifying times while three posted season-bests as the VMI Winter Classic wrapped up Saturday in Lexington.
A trio of men's distance runners hit PSAC qualifying times in the 3000 meters, including
Marco Cardone,
Evan Weaver and Dan Gibney. Cardone crossed the line in ninth with a time of 8:53.19, Weaver was 12th at 8:55.42, and Gibney was 15th at 8:56.85.
Also on the men's side,
Kendall Branan hit a PSAC qualifying time in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.36, finishing third overall.
Cahsia Page had a season-best in the 200 meters, sprinting to a time of 25.89 to finish ninth in the finals.
Hailey Dodson had a season-best toss in the shot put at 13.22 meters, finishing fourth.
