KENT, Ohio - Six IUP track & field athletes had PSAC qualifying times at Kent State's Jud Logan Memorial Tune Up on Saturday. It was IUP's final meet before next week's 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships at Edinboro.
The IUP men had four qualifiers, including
Kendall Branan and
Justin Egizio in the 400 meters. Branan tallied a 49.74 in his first 400 competition of the indoor season while Egizio qualified with a time of 50.51.
Evan Weaver took 10 seconds off his previous season-best in the mile, posting a time of 4:23.58. Dan Gibney qualified in the 5000 meters, taking 28 seconds off his previous best by crossing the line in 15:37.59.
On the women's side,
Cahsia Page posted a season-best in the 200 meters with a time of 25.74 seconds, finishing third overall.
Tori James took six seconds off her mile time, posting a conference qualifying time in the event with a time of 5:19.47.

The Crimson Hawks will compete in the 2022 PSAC Indoor Championships Feb. 26-27 in Edinboro.
