Crimson Hawks compete in first day of PSAC Indoor Championships

EDINBORO, Pa. - The first day of the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up Saturday night at Edinboro University's Mike Zafirovski Dome,

IUP's men's team is 10th overall in the standings while the women did not score on an opening day mostly filled with prelims.

The men received their points from Dan Gibney in the 5000m and the distance medley relay team. Gibney finished sixth in the 5K with a time of 15:29.1, cutting eight seconds off his previous season-best. 

The DMR team was comprised of Mitch Chunta, Noah Shannon-Hatchett, Mike Clark and Kendall Branan. They finished eighth with a time of 11:02.35. 

Also for the men, Addison Singleton moved into the finals of the 60 meter hurdles by finishing eighth in the prelims with a time of 8.86.

The second and final day continues Sunday afternoon.
