GREENSBORO, N.C. - Three IUP swimmers earned All-American honors in their respective events on the third day of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.
Claire Mikesell and
Rachel Johnson each earned top honors in the 100 yard breaststroke while
Paige Mikesell was an All-American in the 200 yard butterfly.
This was the first All-American honors of the week for Claire and Rachel. Mikesell finished fifth overall with a school record time of 1:01.30 to earn first team honors while Johnson was ninth with a time of 1:02.46 for an honorable mention selection.
Paige Mikesell picked up her third All-American honor in as many nights, posting a seventh place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.61. She now has 14 All-American honors for her career.
Standings
The Hawks made a big move in the team standings with today's top finishes, sliding up five spots to 18th with 50 points.
