GREENSBORO, N.C. - Claire Mikesell and
Rachel Johnson grabbed All-American honors as IUP wrapped up a successful trip to the 2022 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday.
Mikesell finished fourth overall in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:13.97 while Johnson was 15th in the same event at 2:17.58. Competing in the championship final, Mikesll earned first team All-American honors while Johnson was an honorable mention selection.
Mikesell posted a new school record during the morning prelims, finishing with a time of 2:12.96. It was her second school record in as many night (100 breast).
Team standings
The Crimson Hawks finished 17th out of 35 scoring teams with 67 points. It was the second straight top-half finish for IUP after coming in 13th of 29 teams last year.Â
