Paige Mikesell swims to All-America finish on first day of NCAA Division II Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Paige Mikesell earned her first All-American honor of the week on the first day of the 2022 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday.

Mikesell posted a 14th place finish in the women's 200 yard IM, touching the wall with a time of 2:03.87. The 14th place finish was good for a honorable mention All-American honor.

She had a time of 2:02.10 in the Wednesday morning prelims, good for 10th overall to put her in the evening's consolation finals.

This was Mikesell's 12th career All-American honor, including her eighth as an individual.

She is scheduled for three more events this week - the 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard butterfly on Thursday, and the 200 yard butterfly on Friday.
