MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - The IUP men's golf team battled wind and rainy weather over the back nine to pick up a mid-week win at Bloomsburg University's Husky Spring Invitational at Frosty Valley Resort on Thursday.
It was the second win in the last three tournaments for the Crimson Hawks, who shot a 13-over 301 on the day to win by 15 strokes in the 9-team field. Full results were not available on GolfStat.com at the time of publishing.
Taking home individual honors was
Shaun Fedor, who shot a 2-under 70 in the poor weather. It was his second career collegiate victory following his win at the 2019 PSAC Championships.
IUP golfers took each of the first three spots, with
Jack Buccigross shooting an even-par 72 to finish in second place.
Nicholas Ward, golfing as an individual, took hom third with a 4-over 76.
Other IUP scores included
Colin Walsh with a 7-over 79,
Richie Kline and
Jack Steve with an 8-over 80, and
Luke Lestini with a 10-over 82.

The Crimson Hawks are back in action next week as they host the 58th annual Cecil C. Spadafora Invitational at the Indiana Country Club. First round action is set to tee off on Monday.
