CINCINNATI, Ohio - 10 different Crimson Hawks hit conference meet qualifying times as IUP track & field competed in the University of Cincinnati's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational this weekend.
Distance runners shined for the Crimson Hawks, with six men's runners in four events hitting a PSAC time.
Marco Cardone (15:15.29) and
Dan Gibney (15:15.95) qualified in the 5000 meters while
Ethan Ribelin (33:38.66) and Nathan Skodi (33:46.92) qualified in the 10K.
Evan Weaver posted a time of 9:39.40 in the 3000 steeplechase to qualify while
Adam Lechleitner finished the 1500 meters in 4:04.87.
Other men's runner hitting qualifying marks were
Justin Egizio in the 200 meters with a time of 22.37 and
Kendall Branan in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.07.
Two IUP women hit qualifying marks, including
Cassidy Kline and
Hailey Dodson. Kline ran a time of 1:03.36 in the 400 meter hurdles while Dodson threw the shot 13.43 meters.
