Mikesell and Johnson continue rewriting IUP record book during Friday’s NCAA Swimming Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Paige Mikesell and Rachel Johnson were at it again on Friday during the 2023 NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships, collecting two more All-America honors for IUP in Indianapolis.
 
Mikesell has 16 career All-American honors following her fifth-place finish in 2:00.44. Mikesell started the day second in the 200 yard fly prelims with a 1:58.95.
 
Johnson earned national runner-up honors in the 100 breast, logging a new school record of 1:01.71. Johnson finished third in the 100 breast prelims (1:01.78).
 
Athanasios Diamantidis made his NCAA championships debut as a Crimson Hawk, registering 21st in the 100 yard breast (54.91). Diamantidis concludes the national championships tomorrow for the IUP men's team in the 200 breast.
