PITTSBURGH, Pa. – IUP outdoor track & field began the 2023 season on Friday in Pittsburgh, concluding the opening day of the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
IUP tallied six combined top-10 finishes across the distance events, with the bulk of action concluding tomorrow.
The Crimson Hawks had a pair of runners post PSAC standards in the 5000m, including
Dan Gibney's second-place time of 14:56.10 and
Joel Beckwith's fifth-place finish in 15:19.10.
For the women's squad,
Stella Kuntz raced to fourth with her time of 12:45.41 in the 3000m steeple.
Evan Weaver logged sixth in the same event, logging a PSAC mark of 9:49.03.
