SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – IUP track & field had three All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) podium finishes on the final day of the 2023 outdoor championships, hosted by Slippery Rock.
In the team standings, IUP finished eighth of 13 schools on the men's side and 15th overall on the women's side.
Kendall Branan won the PSAC crown in the men's 400m with a D2 Provisional mark of 47.59. Branan won the prelims yesterday and was one of three IUP runners to qualify among the top eight of the finals.
Justin Egizio followed in third, earning All-PSAC honors with his time of 48.63.
Owen Putt was also among the top five in the men's 400m for IUP, rounding out the race in 48.67.
For the IUP women,
Cassidy Kline picked up her third consecutive podium finish at the outdoor championships in the 400m hurdles. Kline earned runner-up and all-conference honors with a time of 1:03.34.
Renee Simmonds scored for IUP in the women's shot put, finishing her first conference championship meet in seventh overall with a mark of 12.52.
Both men's IUP relay teams posted top-five finishes with the men's 4x100 in fifth (42.29) and the men's 4x400 in fourth overall (3:17.89).
Jayden Thomas posted 12th in the high jump with
Marco Cardone logging ninth in the 1500m.

Alyssa Hoover and Kline closed the championships with the 4x400 relay, placing 10th in 4:03.43. Kline's split was the fastest among anchor legs in the opening heat.
