INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's tennis program announced the incoming recruiting class for the 2023-24 season. This year's class consists of five student-athletes, including three transfers.
"The incoming class is full of experience and talent," IUP head coach Andrew McGlashen said. "We have two true freshmen coming in from England, and Germany who both have had excellent results during their junior careers."
IUP women's tennis is coming off a third consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship in 2022-23, which included a trip to the NCAA Round of 16 in Orlando. It also marked the third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament for IUP, marking a stretch of 11 NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 13 years.
"Ming, Dani and Alexis bring in a lot of valuable experience from all over the collegiate map," McGlashen continued. "Speaking to them, I get the sense that they are ambitious within their tennis careers and in the classroom. There is an excellent mix of incoming freshmen, transfers and returners for 2023-24. I couldn't be more excited for the season to get up and running."
