CLINTON, Pa. – The IUP men's cross country team placed fourth, while the women's squad finished eighth on Saturday at the Robert Morris Colonial Invitational.
For IUP, sophomore
Mike Formica was the top overall finisher in 10th overall in the 8K distance with a time of 24:53.83. Sophomore
Joel Beckwith followed in 17th place with his time of 25:00.20.
On the women's side, freshman
Abby Douglas paced the Crimson Hawks in the 5K race with a 48th-place time of 20:05.21. Sophomore
Julia O'Brien (20:28.78) and freshman
Lexi Lovrich (20:32.40) finished closely after in 54th and 56th places, respectively.
Junior
Ethan Ribelin was 21st overall and third in the IUP men's lineup with a final split of 25:18.13. Sophomore
Tom Brady (44th; 26:24.49) and
Evan Weaver (50th; 26:38.37) closed out the top five finishers for IUP.
Junior
Sam Moffat, freshman
Nick Mascia and sophomore
Dominick Ditoro finished consecutively in 53rd-55th place. Junior
Nate Kuntz and freshman Gabe Pacyna added top-60 finishes in the field of 88 competitors.
Sophomore
Stella Kuntz posted 60th overall behind a 20:44.26, followed by
Katie McCormick in 65th (20:54.81). Sophomore Maddie Hartner (67th; 20:59.36) and freshman
Tori Stiles (68th; 21:00:03) followed close behind for the Hawks.
