Edinboro, Pa. – The IUP women's cross country program competed in the Fighting Scots Invitational Friday evening, grabbing third place.
Julia O'Brien finished just outside of the top five in sixth place with a time of 23:45.1. IUP also had three other women in the top 20.
Hannah Weaver placed 17
th with a time of 24:39.7, followed by
Abby Douglas (25:00.3, 19
th) and
Zaya McCune (25:02.9, 20
th). Rounding out the top five scorers for the Hawks was
Katie McCormick, picking up 24
th (25:24.8).
"We're around where we expect to be and are still improving." IUP head coach
Joey Zins said after the meet.

The IUP women will return to action for PSAC Championships in 2 weeks at Kutztown University on Saturday, October 26.
