CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Crimson Hawks begin a three day stretch at the 12
th annual Magnus Cup hosted by Cleveland State.
Closing out the first day, the IUP women's swimming team placed 10th out of 12 teams with 40 points. The men placed sixth out of 10 teams with 89 points.
Luke Mikesell posted an NCAA B qualifying time in the 500 free (4:31.74) for the second year in a row. He finished fourth with Ty Uhlig finished ninth with a time of 4:41.06.
The men's 200 freestyle relay placed 10th out of 39 teams (1:23.81), apart of the relay was
Stephen Goff, Nick Vaow,
Alexander Roth, and
Luke Mikesell.
Alexander Roth placed 11th in the men's 200 individual medley with a time of 1:51.79.
The women's 200 relay of
Tina Cudina,
Amber Baldani,
Summer Esson, and
Katie Crosscut placed 16th among 51 teams with a time of 1:36.37.
Kasha Stokes,
Tina Cudina,
Katie Crosscut, and
Summer Esson placed 11th out of 49 teams (3:49.27) in the 400 medley relay. Stokes swam the 100 back in the relay that met NCAA B standards.
Nicholas Roddy performed well placing fourth in the men's 1 meter with a score of 271.85.
