CARLISLE, Pa. – The IUP men's and women's swimming teams closed out action on day two of the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships, posting three all-conference finishes on the day.
Luke Mikesell won the 200 free for IUP with an NCAA B Standard, while the women's 200 free and 400 medley relays logged runner-up finishes to claim all-conference honors. For Mikesell, it's the fifth individual PSAC championship of his career and first in the 200 free. He was not far off the school record, dropping nearly three seconds in the finals while logging a mark of 1:37.56.
As a team, IUP is fourth in the women's standings with a total of 368.5 points. The men's squad finishes day two in fifth overall with 163.5 points.
Taylor Peoples,
Tina Cudina,
Amber Baldani,
Kasha Stokes opened the finals with a runner-up finish in the 200 free relay (1:35.06). Later in the meet, Stokes, Baldani and Peoples joined
Erin Moyer another all-conference mark in the 400 medley relay (3:50.00).
Stokes set a school record and NCAA B Standard with her 100 back portion of the relay.
Moyer posted sixth overall in the A-Final of the 400 IM (4:40.78).
Kyla Kramer,
Summer Esson and
Jensen Westrick also scored for the Hawks in the event after qualifying for the finals.
Avital Flaishman recorded third in the B-Final of the 200 free (1:54.38), while Baldani also qualified for the B-Final in the race. On the men's side,
Luke Scoboria logged 11th (1:41.89) and
Stephen Goff touched the wall in 1:43.60 (15th).

Andrew Taylor and Mikesell just missed out on all-conference with a fourth-place mark of 3:21.16 in the 400 medley relay.
