Edeburn tabbed PSAC West Pitcher of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – IUP baseball graduate student Mark Edeburn was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league on Tuesday.

Edeburn whirled a complete game for the Crimson Hawks, guiding the team to a 3-1 victory against West Virginia State on March 2. It was the 13th complete game of Edeburn's career, surrendering just two hits and one earned run.

The McMurray, Pa. native posted five strikeouts in the win, pushing his career total to 144. His strikeout total ranks 13th in program history, just three shy of matching Kyle Zaorski (147) for 12th place.

Edeburn got into a groove against the Yellow Jackets, retiring the final 16 batters of the contest. He did not allow a baserunner after the second inning in the two-hit gem.

Overall, Edenburn has pitched 182.1 innings during his time with the Crimson Hawks, moving to ninth place in school history.

IUP is tentatively scheduled to host Hillsdale on March 9-10 at Dougherty Field.
