MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The IUP outdoor track & field teams combined for 10 event victories and eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks on Saturday at the Mountaineer Showcase, hosted by West Virginia University.
IUP swept event victories in the 3000m steeple with
Dan Gibney (9:24.53) and
Stella Kuntz (12:20.18) winning the events with PSAC qualifying marks.
Joselyn Dawson became the second IUP student-athlete to earn a PSAC qualifying mark in the javelin with a first-place mark of 36.69m.
Justin Egizio won the 200m (22.19; PSAC standard) and posted third overall in the 100m in 11.06.
Cassidy Kline notched a third-place PSAC qualifying standard of 1:05.12, while
Zachariah Debose (59.46) won the event on the men's side.
Ashton Botzan posted a runner-up finish in the pole vault with a PSAC mark of 4.20m.
Adam Wood added a runner-up showing in the high jump with a PSAC mark of 1.91m.
Both the IUP 4x400 men's and women's meter relay teams were victorious in their respective races.
