PLYMOUTH, Mich. – The IUP men's golf program slipped down two spots in the team standings to fifth overall following the final 18 holes of the Get To Foundation Invitational, held Tuesday at the Saint John's Golf Resort. 
 
IUP placed two individuals, Alex Swinnerton and Guillermo Salazar, among the top 10 individuals. As a team, the Crimson Hawks slotted fifth overall with a 54-hole tally of 901 (+37). 
 
Wayne State (Mich.) shot up three spots in the team standings to win the event. Hillsdale's Robert Thompson and Findlay's Luke Metzger tied for medalist honors with a 216 overall. 
 
Swinnerton tied for third overall in the event, his second top-five finish in as many events this fall. It marks the 10th career top-five finish for Swinnerton since 2022-23, logging a two-over 74 and finishing with a 54-hole total of 217. 
 
Salazar recorded his 12th career top-10 individual finish for the Hawks, closing the Hillsdale Invitational in a tie for ninth behind a final round of 77 (220 overall). 
 
Cameron Gerue tied for 34th (231) with Ben De Castro following in a tie for 37th (233). Individually, Evan Lewis closed his IUP debut in a tie for 45th behind a 237. 
 
Jon Vinge rounded out the Crimson Hawk lineup, tying for 56th overall (249). 
 
Wayne State combined for the low round of any team in the field on Tuesday with a 285 (-3), the lone under par team round of the event. That strong score was anchored by a four-under 68 from Tyler Hurtubise.
