INDIANA, Pa. – Dan Braun, coach of IUP men's golf and president of the Tri-State PGA, was named 2025 PGA Tri-State Section Golf Executive of the Year.

The award recognizes a PGA professional in good standing for at least 10 years who has served in an executive management role for a minimum of three years.

Braun is in his seventh season leading IUP men's golf and also serves as the athletic department's first academic coordinator. He previously became IUP's inaugural academic coordinator before adding coaching duties. He also directs academic support for multiple varsity teams.

The Tri‑State PGA is one of 41 regional sections of the Professional Golfers' Association of America, serving western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland's northern panhandle.
