LEBANON, Pa. – IUP men's golf finished out round two of the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Saturday at Iron Valley Golf Club. IUP slots sixth in the team standings following 36 holes.
IUP (601) had a relatively steady round across the lineup, despite falling one spot in the team standings to sixth place.
Pitt-Johnstown (582) had the best round of any team in the field on Saturday, finishing under par collectively while jumping to first place with 18 holes remaining.
UPJ holds a six-shot advantage over West Chester (588) going into Sunday's final round.
Guillermo Salazar maintained his positioning among the top five, posting a one-over 73 in round two. Tied for fourth overall, Salazar notched consecutive birdies on the final two holes of the front nine Saturday.
The Crimson Hawks lead the field with 29 birdies through two rounds, one more than first-place Pitt-Johnstown (28).
Alex Swinnerton is 10th overall after a 75 on Saturday. His round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-four ninth hole, the second of the tournament for the Crimson Hawks.
Ben De Castro elevated to a tie for 33rd with a second round 75.
Zaiden Dennis is also tied for 33rd after a round two mark of 77.
Trevor Todd carded an 81 for the Crimson Hawks, slipping to 29th place.
