TIFFIN, Ohio – Host Tiffin closed the gap in the final round as IUP men's golf settled for second at the Kyle Ryman Memorial at Mohawk Golf & Country Club. The Hawks could not build on a strong second round, finishing two shots back of Tiffin in the team standings.
Tiffin fired an even-par final round and finished with a total of 857 (-7), just clipping IUP (859; -5) over the last three holes of the event.
Zaiden Dennis was the top finisher for IUP, tying for fifth with a final round 74. Dennis posted an under-par total of 214 (-2) across 54 holes.
Alex Swinnerton and
Guillermo Salazar each finished under par as well, tying for seventh place behind a score of 215 (-1).
Ben De Castro (T13th) was even par at 213, closing Tuesday with a one-over 73.
Trevor Todd (T22nd) and
Jon Vinge (T46th; individual) rounded out the Crimson Hawk lineup.
IUP led the 13-team field with 173 pars over three rounds of action.
