BOSTON, Mass. – Mike Formica made the trip to Boston University to compete in one of the nation's fastest indoor tracks at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday.
Formica broke the school record in the mile after he ran a 4:09.20 and solidified his spot as the No. 1 ranked miler in the PSAC.
He also competed in the 1500m (3:53.55) and the 3000m (8:37.65).
GENEVA, Ohio – The IUP track and field program had two top-two finishes, multiple career bests, and hit PSAC qualifying marks at the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games on Saturday.
Adam Wood placed first in the high jump (2.00m) for the men on the field side, notching a career-best and is now ranked fourth in the PSAC.
Quintin Robison,
Louis Losoya, and
Conner Henderson ended in a three-way tie for ninth place in the pole vault (3.90m).
Evan Loro wrapped up the field events with a top-10 finish in the triple jump (12.75m).
Tom Brady placed 15th in the men's 3000m (8:58.34), followed by Nathan Kociela in 9th in the 5000m (15:35.61).
Taimir Lobban placed ninth in the 60m hurdle finals (9.06).

Cahsia Page led the women with a second-place finish in the 400m (59.36), and
Sterlene Scott followed with a sixth-place finish in the 60m (7.93m).
Both
Julia O'Brien and
Hannah Weaver ran personal bests in the 5000m, placing fifth (18:35.36) and sixth(18:37.36), respectively. O'Brien and Weaver both secured PSAC Championship berths. The women's 4x400 relay placed third (4:06.06); apart of the relay were Kirsch, Scott, Brozeski, and Page.
Renee Simmonds threw a personal best of 12.60m in the shot put, placing fifth and also moved up to fifth in the PSAC rankings.

The Crimson Hawks head to Penn State on Friday, February 21, for the Penn State Tune Up, their final meet before PSAC Championships that are set to begin on March 1.
