YORK, Pa. – The IUP men's and women's swimming teams earned five first-place finishes and a total of six All-PSAC honors on the third day of the 2025 PSAC Championships.
IUP began the day with a first-place finish in the women's 200 medley relay with a time of 1:43.98. A part of the relay was
Kasha Stokes,
Tina Cudina,
Gem Crittenden, and
Katie Crosscut.
The men's 200 medley relay placed sixth with a time of 1:34.31, and a part of the relay was
Alexander Roth,
Julien Dampenon,
Luke Ramalho, and
Nicholas Vaow.
Avital Flaishman earned a sixth place finish in the A Final of the 500 free (5:07.62), and
Summer Esson placed 20th (5:15.59). On the men's side,
Tyler Uhlig placed fourth (4:34.49), and
Luke Mikesell placed fifth (4:35.75).
Stephen Goff placed 12th in the B Final (4:43.65).
IUP had three swimmers place in the A Final of the 100 back.
Kasha Stokes led the charge with a first-place finish and an NCAA B standard (55.60).
Jordan Crupie placed fifth (57.83),
Katie Crosscut placed eighth (58.50), and Lillian Farmer finished 19th in the C Final with a time of 59.85.
Uhlig placed third in the 100 back (50.33), followed by Roth in fourth (51.11).
IUP claimed both first place finishes in the 100 breaststrokes with Cudina's time of 1:94.21 and Thanos Diamantidis's time of 54.47, earning himself an NCAA B standard. Joining Cudina was
Catrina Miller (9th; 1:06.38),
Kyla Kramer (18th; 1:07.03),
Hiba Laknit (22nd; 1:08.07).
Gem Crittenden wrapped up the evening with another first-place finish in the 200 fly (2:02.03), which also marked an NCAA B standard.
Jensen Westrick placed 23rd (2:23.69). In the men's 200 fly, Ramalho placed eighth (1:53.41).
Through the third day of competition, the women's team moved up to third place with 663.5 points, and the men's team moved up to fourth with 284 points.
