PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The IUP track and field teams competed at Carnegie Mellon over the weekend in a two-day invitational, earning multiple top-10 finishes.
Mike Formica finished first in the men's 1500m (3:53.09) and third in the men's 800m (1:55.18). Gabe Pacyna also placed in the top 10 in the men's 800m, placing eighth (1:55.89).
In the women's 100m hurdles, Bryna Kelly placed fourth with a time of 15.26. In the 400m hurdles, Bella Brozeski placed third with a time of 1:06.77.
IUP placed eighth in both the women's and men's 3000m steeplechase. Nate Kuntz ran a 9:46.44 and Gwyn Keith ran a 12:07.28.
Zaya McCune ran a personal best in the 3000m with a time of 11:48.06 and Nathan Kociela placed 12th on the men's side with a time of 15:08.89, also a personal best. In the women's 5000m was Hannah Weaver who placed 15th and ran a personal best time of 18:35. 96.
For field events, Adam Wood placed fifth in the men's high jump (1.89m) and Nataiah Robertson placed sixth in the women's long jump (5.24m). IUP marked two top-10 finishes in the men's triple jump with Matthew Cusatis in fourth (14.15m) and Evan Loro in eighth (13.33m).
