INDIANA, Pa. – IUP catcher Davin Landers was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Hitter of the Week, announced Wednesday.
 
Landers picked up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Athlete of the Week honors on April 14 following his hot hitting streak last week. 

Appearing in six games during the week, Landers batted .667 (12-18) as well as notching four doubles, and two home runs for an overall total of eight RBIs. Through a four game and five day span, Landers went a perfect 12-for-12 at the plate. His two home runs came against Davis & Elkins and Clarion. 

Landers efforts helped the Crimson Hawks extend their winning streak to nine games. The Hawks post a 16-19 overall record and 11-5 record in the conference.
