BLACKSBURG, Va. – IUP men's golf placed three golfers among the top 10 overall and finished second in the team standings during a strong showing at the Pitt-Johnstown Appalachian Collegiate in Virginia.
The two-day event marked the first event of the spring 2026 schedule for the Crimson Hawks, which sent eight student-athletes to Blacksburg Country Club.
Alex Swinnerton finished tied for third, while
Cameron GeRue (individual) and
Guillermo Salazar added top-10 finishes.
Pitt-Johnstown won the event with a combined 54-hole total of 891(+27). David Razinskas (Pitt-Johnstown) won the event by one shot over Virginia Tech's Balthazar Duclos (individual).
IUP followed with a second-place mark of 911 (+47), including a 293 team score in the second round on Monday.
Swinnerton posted a combined four-over mark of 220, highlighted by a pair of even-par rounds of 72. Swinnerton has four top-five individual finishes this season and 17 in his career.
GeRue recorded his third career top-10 finish and first of the season, competing as an individual. He closed the event with an even-par 72.
Salazar carded a one-under par (71) in round two and secured his 19th career top-10 finish.
John Olsen registered a 230and tied for 17th as an individual.

Zaiden Dennis (37th) closed out the IUP lineup.
