Redshirt freshman football player Lenny Williams has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 22. Williams once again had a huge game, totaling five touchdowns to help the Crimson Hawks to a comeback 47-21 win over Charleston (W. Va.) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II football playoffs on Saturday.

The quarterback finished with 252 total yards – 151 rushing, 101 passing – and ran for four touchdowns while throwing for another. All of his touchdowns came in the second half, as the IUP offense, defense, and special teams contributed in scoring 34 unanswered points down the stretch.

The four rushing touchdowns and 24 points tied an IUP playoff game record, while the five total touchdowns set a record. Williams and the Crimson Hawks head to Shepherd to play the Rams in the second round of the playoffs this Saturday.
