The Crimson Hawks tied it up with goals from Paige Corathers (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley) and Alexa Lodovici (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) before another goal by Ginn made it 3-2 ESU with 17:19 left in the half.

IUP then started to take control as the Crimson Hawks went on a 5-0 run to take a 7-3 lead just 10 minutes later. Lodovici assisted on four of the goals as five different players threaded the net on the run. The Warriors added a goal with 2:05 left as IUP went into the break up 7-4.

The scoring picked up in the second half as IUP got goals from Collen Berlin and Corathers to go up 9-4 within the first 3:07. The Warriors picked up two of the next three goals scored as they cut their deficit to 10-6 with 15:49 remaining in the game. The Crimson Hawks then went on another 5-0 run over a 4:33 span, with Seidel netting two, as IUP extended its lead to 15-6 with just under nine minutes remaining.

ESU did pick up three late goals, including two from Ginn, but Seidel and Taylor Hickman (Yardley/Pennsbury) scored twice in the final minute to finish off the nine-goal win.

Ginn led the Warriors with five goals while goalie Amanda Simms had 12 saves in the net.

Corathers, Hickman, Sarah Ward (Murrysville/Franklin Regional ) and Michelle Zakrzewski (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley) each scored two goals to go along with Seidel's three. Paige Beierschmitt (Eastampton Township, NJ/Rancocas Valley Regional) and Kiera Hunstman led the defensive effort with four caused turnovers and five ground balls, respectively. Jessica Beck (Baltimore, MD/Western Tech) added four ground balls while Taylor Norwood (Chantilly, VA/Chantilly) caused three turnovers.
