WEST CHESTER, Pa. –
Joshua Bartley (Valencia, Pa./Mars) finished 10th on the individual leaderboard as the IUP men's golf team finished seventh overall at West Chester's Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at the Penn Oaks Golf Club Tuesday.
The Crimson Hawks shot a 59-over 619 in the two-day, two-round tournament. They shot a 35-over 315 as a team Tuesday, sliding down four places in the standings after finishing Monday four strokes back in third place.
RESULTS
IUP finished 21 strokes back of team winner California, which shot a 38-over 598.
Bartley shot a 10-over 150 for the tournament, finishing eight strokes back of medalist Austin Smith from California (Pa.). He entered Tuesday's second round in fifth place after shooting a four-over 74 in Monday's opening round and finished up with a six-over 76.
Matt Cocorikis (Monroe Twp., N.J./Monroe Twp.) and
Michael Hoare (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) tied for 22nd at 16-over 156,
Nate Guerrini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) tied for 26th with a 17-over 157, and
Jeremy Eckenrode (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) tied for 42nd with a 22-over 162.
