OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – IUP men's golf settled in over the final 36 holes, highlighted by under-par rounds from
Trevor Todd and
Alex Swinnerton at the Music City Invitational. As a team, IUP tied for seventh overall at the Hermitage Golf Course.
Todd tied for ninth individually, closing with rounds of 68 (-2) and 67 (-3). He secured his second career top-10 finish and first of the season.
Host Trevecca Nazarene (836) won the 54-hole event by four shots. IUP posted team rounds of 275 and 282 over the final two rounds, climbing two spots in the standings.
Swinnerton fired a five-under 65 in round two with seven birdies, followed by a one-under 69 to finish tied for 22nd. His second-round 65 was one shot shy of his career low (64), set at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational in September 2023. He totaled 13 birdies over 54 holes, the second most in the field.
Guillermo Salazar tied for 40th with rounds of 73, 71, and 73 on the par-70 course, recording 38 pars over 54 holes.
John Olsen (T53rd),
Ben De Castro (T62nd; individual), and
Cameron GeRue (84th) rounded out the Crimson Hawk lineup.
