INDIANA, Pa. – After a non-scheduled two weeks off from competition, the IUP women's lacrosse team finally returns to the field Saturday when they host 23rd-ranked Mercyhurst at Miller Stadium.
Due to a cancellation from Edinboro for later in April, Saturday's game will now be Senior Day for the lacrosse program with four seniors recognized prior to game time. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
The Crimson Hawks enter with an overall record of 2-2 and are third in the PSAC West standings with a divisional record of 2-1. The Lakers are 5-1 overall and second with a 3-1 division record.
Spectators
IUP Athletics is allowing spectators at outdoor events this spring. Any fans visiting George P. Miller Stadium are asked to keep socially distant from each other, participating teams, student-athletes, school officials and other game day personnel. When not able to socially distant, please wear masks.

The Crimson Hawks last game was Saturday, March 20 as they rallied to defeat Lock Haven 12-11 in overtime at Miller Stadium. Trailing 6-2 at the half, IUP opened the second with a 6-1 run and scored three goals over the last 6:36 of regulation to send the game to extra time. With two seconds left in overtime,
Leah Hunter scored a dramatic goal while falling to the ground to get the sudden death victory.

>> IUP's two games since its last action have been changed due to health and safety guidelines. Gannon was forced to postpone its game against the Crimson Hawks on March 23 and Edinboro canceled its PSAC regular season games before its March 27 matchup with the Crimson Hawks.
>> Mercyhurst's last game was a 16-11 victory over Lock Haven last Saturday.
>> The Crimson Hawks are 3-7 all-time against Mercyhurst, dropping the last two meetings by a combined six goals - 12-11 in 2018 and 20-15 in 2019.
>> IUP's last win over Mercyhurst came in dramatic fashion and at home, defeating the Lakers 14-13 in overtime during the 2017 season.
>> The Lakers are one of the top scoring teams in the conference, ranking third overall and first in the division with 16.0 goals per game. IUP is sixth in the league giving up 11.11 goals per game.

Jordan Kulp is second in the PSAC and 18th in Division II with 2.50 assists per game. She's been consistent through IUP's first four games, posting two games of three assists and two games of two assists.
>> Kulp is also fifth in the PSAC with 4.75 points per game. She's second on the team with nine goals to go along with her 10 assists.

Kayte Zeiler leads the team with 12 goals and is tied for seventh in the PSAC with 3.00 goals per game. She's coming off a career performance, scoring six goals against Lock Haven.

Sarah Reustle and
Chantal Jimenez are both among the PSAC leaders in draw controls as IUP ranks sixth in the league with 13.25 per game. Reustle is second individually with 5.50 per game while Jimenez is tied for seventh with 4.50 per outing.

Lauren Piecknick is fourth in the PSAC with a .531 saves percentage. Overcoming a high amount of shots faced - 32 per game - she's come through averaging 12.75 saves.
