Notes
>> The Crimson Hawks head into the week looking to clinch the program's eighth PSAC tournament berth in the last 10 seasons. It would be the second under third year coach
Brenna Gallagher '16.
>> IUP needs to stay ahead of Lock Haven, which trails the Hawks by one game in the standings entering the week. In addition to its game against IUP, Lock Haven will host Mercyhurst and travel to Slippery Rock (5-6, 4-6) this week.
>> IUP has a leg up on LHU, winning the first game of the series in dramatic fashion, 12-11 in overtime back on March 20.
>> The Hawks also took the first game of the season with Gannon (17-12) and then-No. 23 Mercyhurst (11-6).
>> Postponements due to health and safety guidelines created this three-games-in-four-days week. IUP and Lock Haven were originally set to play April 14 and the Gannon game has been moved twice, first from March 23 and then from April 22.
>> IUP enters the week third in the PSAC West in scoring defense, allowing 11.43 goals per game. Mercyhurst's offense averages 14.0 goals per game but IUP limited the Lakers to just six scores in the first meeting.
>> The IUP defense is also fourth in the PSAC - second in the division - in forcing 10.63 turnovers per game. Freshman attacker
Chantal Jimenez leads the team with 13 CTOs, while
Katie Hibinger and
Hannah Sharkey each have caused 12.
>> Sophomore
Jordan Kulp leads the conference and ranks 12th in Division II with 2.75 assists per game. She has four games of three or more assists, including a season-high five last week against Lock Haven.
>> Kulp's 2.75 assists per game is currently the fifth highest in IUP single season history.
