ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The IUP men's golf team finished play at the NCAA Super Region Preview in a tie for 18th out of 23 competing teams. The Crimson Hawks shot a 53-over 629 in the two-round tournament at Ravenwood Golf Club.
IUP finished 34 strokes behind event champion Davis & Elkins, which finished at 19-over 595.
The Hawks shot a 619 in the first round and followed with a 610 in the second.
Jack Buccigross was the Hawks' top finisher, coming in a tie for 15th with an 8-over 152 (75-77).
Shaun Fedor finished in a tie for 33rd with a 10-over 154 and
Luke Lestini had IUP's best second round score with a 2-over 74, tying for 72nd with a 15-over 159.
Richie Kline tied for 97th with a 20-over 164 and
Jack Steve finished in 111th with a 27-over 171.

The Crimson Hawks have a rare mid-week tournament up next as they compete in Bloomsburg's Husky Spring Invitational on Thursday at Frosty Valley Resort in Danville.
