Herlihy adds Nicole Krueger to coaching staff

INDIANA, Pa. - First year IUP head women's soccer coach Noreen Herlihy announced the addition of Nicole Krueger as an assistant on her coaching staff in 2022.

"I am delighted Nicole is joining the program," said Herlihy. "She understands the game so well, is a consummate professional in all she does, and is passionate about the well-being of student-athletes. Any program would be delighted to have her and I know the players will really enjoy her."

Krueger comes to Indiana after spending the last six seasons with Herlihy at the University of Akron, where she was involved in all facets of the Zips program. She helped Herlihy take Akron to three MAC tournament appearances, doubling the amount the team had in its entire history.

Krueger started at Akron as a graduate assistant in 2016 and moved into a full-time role in 2018.

Krueger played for Herlihy for four years at Slippery Rock. While at The Rock, she helped her team to a PSAC Championship, three NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, and an NCAA Elite 8 appearance. In her senior year, she earned several honors, including Capital One Academic All-American and PSAC Top 10 Scholar Athlete.

She graduated from Slippery Rock in 2015 at the top of her class with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She completed her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness at Akron in 2018.

After graduating from SRU, Krueger worked as a personal trainer and youth soccer coach in several locales across the country, including her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona.
