Wilson picks up PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week Award


LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Midfielder Rylee Wilson was selected for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

 

The Crimson Hawks continue their valiant defensive efforts, ranking seventh in scoring defense (7.50). Wilson was a key component defensively during the Crimson Hawks comeback win over Mercyhurst, grabbing ten draw controls and two ground balls. 

 

On Saturday the Hawks defeated Edinboro on the road 21-2, while Wilson notched a career-high four goals. She also collected four ground balls and nine draw controls for the Crimson Hawks on the defensive end. 

 

Wilson racked up nineteen total draw controls this week, paired with four ground balls.

The Crimson Hawks will host Slippery Rock on April 22 at George P. Miller Stadium, game time is set for 1 PM.
