WEST CHESTER, Pa. — For the first time since 2023, the IUP women's lacrosse team is headed to the PSAC Tournament.
The Crimson Hawks earned the No. 3 seed in the West Division and will travel to face West Chester, the No. 2 seed from the East, in the PSAC quarterfinals Tuesday.
The matchup with the Golden Rams will be IUP's first against West Chester since 2019 and its first road game in the series since 2018. The Crimson Hawks are seeking the program's first win over the Rams.
IUP finished the regular season 6-4 in PSAC play, its best conference finish since 2023 and its highest conference win total since 2024.
West Chester enters the postseason at 14-3 overall and 10-2 in conference play. The Golden Rams boast one of the top offenses in the PSAC, ranking second in goals per game (17.47), assists per game (8.47) and points per game (25.94).
The Crimson Hawks will look to continue the strong offensive play of Julia Steere and Macenzie Haragos, who have combined for 66 goals this season.
Lauren LeGrand is expected to start in goal as IUP looks for its first PSAC Tournament victory since returning to the postseason.
Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Vonnie Gros Field on the West Chester campus.
