GENEVA, Ohio – The IUP track and field programs placed multiple athletes in the top 10 at the SPIRE Midwest Open on Saturday, competing against a strong and diverse field from NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA institutions.
Cahsia Page placed in the top 10 in the 400m and 200m sprints. In the 400m, she ran a 59.07 and 25.69 in the 200m earning an automatic PSAC qualifying mark.
Sterlene Scott advanced to the finals in the 60m and ran a personal best of 7.91s ranking her sixth in the PSAC.
Bryna Kelly finished eighth overall in the 60m hurdle finals.
IUP claimed a first-place finish in the men's pole vault, Louis Losoya cleared 4.10m.
Nataiah Robertson secured a PSAC qualifying mark with a leap of 5.56m in the long jump to finish third overall.
Adam Wood added to the list of PSAC qualifiers with a personal best jump of 1.90 in the high jump.

Mike Formica continued his outstanding start to the season, running an impressive 14:51.79 in the 5000m. His performance moved him to second in the PSAC rankings and third all-time in IUP program history.

Athletes across all event disciplines impressed the coaching staff with how they handled the challenges of inconsistent training due to recent weather. Their ability to adapt and perform was remarkable, and this meet provided a great opportunity to get back into rhythm.
