INDIANA, Pa. – IUP head men's golf coach Dan Braun announced the addition of Zaiden Dennis to the program for 2025-26. Dennis begins his college studies in the fall of 2025, arriving to IUP following his graduation from Springbank Community High School in Canada. 
 
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Dennis joins a mostly intact IUP roster in 2025-26. He collected two individual wins and three runner-up finishes on the prestigious Maple Leaf Jr. Tour in 2024. 
 
"We are all excited to welcome Zaiden into the IUP golf family," Braun said. "He encompasses all that we look for when bringing on new student-athletes in the program." 
 
Overall, he posted six finishes in the top five and eight finishes in the top 10 for the year. His low round of 65 came at the Edge Summer School Classic, one of seven rounds of 70 or lower during the 2024 competitive season. 
 
"Zaiden has excelled both in the classroom and on the golf course – proof that he possesses the work ethic and time management skills necessary to excel in intercollegiate athletics. He is truly an impressive young man and will immediately acclimate himself into our program, the university, and Indiana community."
 
He tied for 12th overall at the World Stars Junior Golf Championship, held in Las Vegas, and finished first on the Alberta Maple Leaf Junior Tour Order of Merit. Dennis is the third active member of the IUP roster from Calgary and Springbank Community High School, alongside Guillermo Salazar and Jon Vinge. 
 
"Zaiden is a tireless worker," Braun continued. "His record of achievement is impressive, and I am sure his work ethic will allow him to achieve great success at IUP." 
 
Dennis added two wins on the 2023 McLennon Ross Junior Tour, including the tour championship. He posted four top-five finishes that year and combined for 11 top-10 showings between three tours in the 2023 season. 
 
The Crimson Hawks begin the fall season in September 2025.
