GREENSBURG, Pa. –
John Olsen and
Alex Swinnerton carded under-par rounds and tied for third individually to lead IUP at the Hannastown Collegiate Invitational. Both finished at 213 (+3) in the 54-hole event, as the Crimson Hawks placed third as a team.
Playing 36 holes Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday, IUP (879) finished behind Pitt-Johnstown (863) and co-host California (Pa.) (872) in the team standings at the par-70 Hannastown Country Club. UPJ's Griffin Hansberry earned medalist honors with a 208 (-2), the only score under par in the field, highlighted by two eagles.
Olsen closed strong with a one-under 69 on Tuesday. He carded four birdies—including one on his opening hole—to go along with rounds of 74 and even-par 70 on Monday. The performance marked his second collegiate top-five finish.
Swinnerton added a one-under 69 of his own in Tuesday's final round, recording his second top-five finish this season and the 15th of his career.
Guillermo Salazar, competing as an individual, secured a top-10 finish with rounds of 74, 70, and 76 (220, +10). His highlight came in Monday's second round with an eagle on the par-five 12th.
Trevor Todd climbed the leaderboard Tuesday with a 72 (+2), finishing 27th overall.

Cameron GeRue (T72) rounded out IUP's scoring lineup.
As a team, the Crimson Hawks ranked among the most consistent in the field, leading in par-three scoring (+21) and finishing second in both birdies (34) and total pars (154). Swinnerton led all players in par-3 scoring average (3.07).
