IUP Athletic Hall of Fame
                
    A 1954 graduate of IUP and member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Bob Green was a two-way starter at guard and linebacker for the IUP football team.  
As a team captain and all-conference player, Green led IUP in tackles during his junior and senior years, 1952 and 1953. Green was awarded the Wahr Scholarship in 1954 as an outstanding senior athlete. 
His accomplishments off the field are just as impressive. He served in the United States Army for two years and won more than  250 games as coach of the football team at Hollidaysburg High School in 35 seasons. 
Green is a retired teacher at Hollidaysburg Area School District. He has a late wife, Suzanne, and three children, Ken (58), Carolyn (55) and Amy (deceased). He currently resides in Duncansville, Pa.
