LeRon McCoy is a former American football wide receiver. Originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft, the fourth player
in IUP history to be selected. McCoy played in 10 games with four starts at wide receiver in 2005, catching 18 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

He was also a member of the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, and
California Redwoods teams.

But, before all of that, McCoy played for IUP, from 2001 to 2004.
At the time of his graduation in 2005, he was ranked fifth in IUP’s all-time receiving yards (2,095), eighth in career receptions (110), and third in receiving touchdowns (25).
He caught 10 touchdown passes in 10 games as a senior, one of the top marks in single season IUP history, and helped IUP to outright or shared PSAC West division titles in 2001,
2002, and 2003.
